Man is equally entitled to the enjoyment of his human rights as an inherent and inalienable right, in all places and at all times and without any discrimination. Human rights recognize human beings only because of their human nature and have rights and freedoms, including the right to education. Education today is considered an essential element of the progress and development of human societies and is one of the fundamental rights of every individual in society, whether that person is a criminal or a non-criminal. The purpose of this study is to investigate the principles as well as the origin and developments of convicts' enjoyment of the right to education and its effect on preventing recidivism. The present research has been written using library documents and resources in a descriptive and analytical method. Findings and results of the study indicate that the right to education for the correction and training of convicts is essential and vital for the correction and training of offenders. Based on criminological theories, criminals in the process of socialization and social adjustment that is transmitted to them through education are taught how to behave in society and respect social norms and values, and on the other hand, the recurrence of crime in society is prevented.
